These investors and companies usually send a real estate agent to bid the property on their behalf during the auction. They trust the agent to make good judgment for them.

You need to be cautions when you want to buy homes under government foreclosure. These properties that will be auctioned are listed by government agencies that are taken care of the properties prior to the auction. Some companies also compiled these properties into their own lists and give or sell the information to potential buyers that are interested to buy government foreclosure properties.

Unfortunately, sometimes these lists are not properly updated. Potential buyers cannot use the lists optimally and sometimes can become frustrated. These buyers have done their calculation and homework to find out later on that the properties actually have been sold. If they want to get updated lists, they need to pay some fee again. However, this should not deter you because buying government foreclosure properties can become a profitable investment indeed.
